THE LIVING™
Terms, Policies
+ Spa Etiquette
The shared understanding that protects your time, your wellbeing, and the experience we create together.
Health Disclosure + Safety Consent
All services provided by The Living Spa and Wellness, LLC — d/b/a THE LIVING — are non-medical wellness services, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace medical care.
Services may be modified, postponed, or respectfully declined at the practitioner’s discretion to uphold client safety, therapeutic integrity, and the highest standard of care.
Clients are required to disclose all relevant medical history, conditions, medications, procedures, and recent treatments prior to booking and prior to service.
THE LIVING reserves the right to refuse service when contraindications are present or when safety cannot be ensured.
Pressure, techniques, positioning, and areas treated may be adjusted or omitted to ensure comfort, safety, and clinical integrity.
Payments + Gratuities + Gift Certificates + Retail Sales
Booking + Payment
A credit card is required to secure all appointments.
Services are subject to availability — prices and menus are subject to change without notice.
Gratuities to Practitioners
Gratuities are not included in service pricing, and are warmly appreciated by our practitioners.
For your convenience, a gratuity may be added at checkout — 18%, 20%, or 25% — applied to your card on file, another card of your choice, or paid in cash.
Please note that membership dues do not include gratuity for your practitioner.
Gift Certificates
A THE LIVING gift certificate is a gracious way to share the experience of restoration with someone you love.
Gift certificates are purchased as a monetary value rather than for a specific service, so they may be applied toward any experience at THE LIVING — and because service pricing is subject to change, each certificate is redeemed against its dollar value at the time of use.
Our gift certificates carry no expiration date.
They are non-transferable and redeemable only by the named recipient, and may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash.
Because a gift certificate is treated as currency, it cannot be replaced if lost or stolen — we kindly ask that you keep yours somewhere safe.
Retail Sales
All retail product sales are final — we are unable to offer returns or exchanges on retail items.
24-Hour Rescheduling + Cancellation Policy
We reserve dedicated time for each client and therapist — your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
When changes happen last minute, within 24 hours, the practitioner cannot refill that time, and the business absorbs the loss.
These policies protect our therapists, our schedule integrity, and the quality of care we provide.
The following policies apply to all services, including memberships.
24-Hour Window Policy
Any change made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment is considered a late change — this includes rescheduling, modifying, or canceling.
Rescheduling within 24 hours is treated the same as canceling — it does not release the reserved time or avoid the policy.
RESCHEDULING
50% of the service value is charged to the card on file.
Membership — this fee is in addition to your subscription payment.
Reschedule then cancel the new time, and the 100% policy applies.
CANCELLATION
100% of the service value is charged to the card on file.
Membership — the monthly service is forfeited.
NO SHOW
100% of the service value is charged to the card on file.
Membership — the monthly service is automatically forfeited.
Late Arrival
Please arrive on time — if you arrive late, your service may be shortened to honor the guest who follows you, and the full service price still applies.
Our Right to Reschedule
In the rare event of practitioner illness or emergency, THE LIVING may reschedule your appointment — you will be rebooked at the earliest opportunity, with no penalty.
Appointment Communications
By booking, you consent to receive appointment-related messages by text and email — confirmations, reminders, and scheduling updates.
These are separate from marketing messages, which you may opt into elsewhere.
Illness Grace + Emergency Forgiveness
We understand that true emergencies and illness can arise.
In the event of acute illness, members may request a one-time courtesy reschedule without forfeiting their membership service credit — provided the spa is notified as soon as possible before the appointment, and the request is made in good faith and not as a recurring pattern.
This courtesy is extended at the discretion of THE LIVING, is limited to one occurrence per membership year, and does not apply to no-shows or repeated cancellations within the 24-hour policy.
One courtesy exception may be extended at management’s discretion — repeated last-minute changes are subject to the full policy without exception.
Waivers
Medical Aesthetics Policy + Waiver
Clients who have received Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Daxxify®, dermal fillers, or any injectable neurotoxin or filler must wait a minimum of four (4) weeks before receiving most facial, intra-oral, neuromuscular, lymphatic, or structural manual services.
The only exception is the LIVING NEURO FLUSH + REPAIR™ service — performed within three (3) to seven (7) days post-injection, using external facial lymphatic drainage and gua sha only.
If you book or arrive within the restricted four (4)-week window, the service will be denied for safety reasons, standard cancellation policies apply, and 100% of the service value is charged to the card on file.
I acknowledge that these techniques involve manipulation of deep facial muscles, fascia, and soft tissue, and that receiving them within four (4) weeks of injectables creates a material risk of migration, displacement, vascular compromise, asymmetry, or unintended alteration of the product.
I am solely responsible for fully and accurately disclosing all injectable treatments and dates prior to booking and prior to service.
I understand that failure to disclose recent injectables releases The Living Spa and Wellness, LLC from any liability related to complications arising from injectable migration, displacement, or tissue manipulation.
Pregnancy + Postpartum
THE LIVING follows the Georgia State Board policy regarding prenatal services — services are not permitted before the completion of the first trimester and up to 12 weeks of pregnancy, and postpartum services are appropriate only after the recovery window has passed with no contraindications.
A completed Pregnancy + Postpartum Waiver is required before any prenatal or postnatal service, and you are responsible for disclosing your current status and any complications.
Minor
Clients under 18 require a parent or legal guardian’s consent and accompaniment — a completed and signed Child / Minor Booking Waiver is required before any service can legally be performed.
Spa Etiquette
In the Studio
Guests are expected to arrive on time.
Shoes are removed upon arrival — a pair of spa slippers is provided.
Respectful behavior toward staff and other guests is always expected.
Phone + Voice Volume
Our studio is an intimate space, and sound carries easily within it.
To preserve the calm for every guest, we ask that mobile devices be silenced upon arrival, and that voices be kept low throughout your visit.
These small considerations protect the stillness and sense of retreat we hold for everyone.
Spa Communication — Phone + Text
Our studio phone is a mobile device, chosen so we can offer text messaging — but it is treated as a landline and remains at the studio at all times.
It is answered and monitored during business hours, and a practitioner with a guest is fully present and unavailable by phone.
For the quickest response, we kindly ask that you text us.
Messages or calls received after hours will be returned the following business day.
Keeping the phone at the studio, within studio hours, protects the calm, presence, and focus we hold for every guest and client.
Professional, Non-Sexual Services
All services at THE LIVING are strictly professional and therapeutic in nature.
Any inappropriate, suggestive, or illicit conduct will result in immediate termination of the service, a full-service charge to the card on file, and may result in refusal of future booking.
Respectful Environment + Right to Refuse
The Living Spa and Wellness, LLC — d/b/a THE LIVING — reserves the right to modify, postpone, or respectfully decline any service when contraindications, safety concerns, or policy conflicts are present.
We maintain a professional, respectful, and safe environment — inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of service, and 100% of the service value is charged to the card on file.
Political + Controversial Discussions
THE LIVING is a space dedicated to restoration, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.
To maintain a peaceful and inclusive environment, we kindly ask that discussions of politics, religion, and other potentially divisive topics remain outside our space — they will be gently redirected if they arise during service.
We honor the diversity of perspectives among our guests, clients, and staff, and ask that conversations remain aligned with the calm nature of the environment.
Personal Belongings
THE LIVING is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
We kindly ask that you leave valuables and jewelry at home, or remove them completely prior to your service.
